It's been just about a year since I published my last post on my now defunct blog. Crazy how quickly time gets away from you. My old blog (Get Looped) focused almost entirely on my adventures in knitting and crocheting. But during this past blog-free year, I've also largely ignored my needles or hooks. Why the drastic change?
So much. So much. Just so very much.
In the past year I've gotten my older son placed into a middle school that meets both his academic and emotional needs, worked to help him adjust to that new setting, taken on a new job, gotten my younger son enrolled in a good elementary school, fallen WAY behind in my housework, rediscovered an amazing friend, and ended a three-year therapeutic relationship. Which left very little time or energy to pursue hobbies and blogging. Not to mention the loss of computer time to my ever more tech-savvy five-year-old.
But now, as the school year is winding down, and my kids seem to be temporarily settling in, I'm thinking I may just have time to renew my presence here in the blogosphere. Maybe. I'm willing to give it a try. Not sure which direction this blog will meander in yet. But I'm looking forward to finding out.
